How we can help

At Library Help

Library Help staff on level 2 of the Robertson Library, or at the WA School of Mines Kalgoorlie Library, can help you find your way around the Library, borrow books at the self-service loan machines, find books, journal articles and other information you need for your studies.

Library Help staff can also help with basic referencing, search queries or connect you to other library services. Staff can also provide more specialised help, including how to develop study and research skills, how to find information, advice on data management and copyright matters. Eligible clients can also receive help placing document delivery requests and accessing teaching resources in the High Demand collection.

Library Student Assistants

Library Student Assistants (LSAs) can help with basic IT queries, using the Library website, searching the catalogue and finding items on the shelf.

During semester, LSAs are available 24/7 in the Robertson Library, just look for the blue ‘Ask Me’ t-shirts.

IT Help

Working closely with Library Student Assistants, Abacus IT staff on level 2 of the Robertson Library can assist with a range of IT queries regarding OASIS, access to the internet,  connecting to the Wifi, software issues, Blackboard and more.
