Interstate & NZ university students & staff

Curtin Library is a member of University Libraries of Australia and New Zealand (ULANZ) which allows students and staff from member universities to borrow from any other participating Australian and New Zealand university library (does not include Open Universities Australia).

You must borrow the items you want in person, and return materials to the Curtin Library from which you borrowed them.

Before borrowing you must register. Speak to staff at the Curtin Library from which you wish to borrow, and present your university ID card. You need to show that your enrolment or employment at your home university is current. If this information is not indicated on your ID card, some acceptable alternative proof is required, e.g. current student enrolment document, contract of employment as a staff member, current online student/staff library record.

Registration and borrowing are free of charge. Membership is personal and not transferable.

Registration is for the current year only and will expire on the 28 February of the following year. Registration may be renewed by application each year.

You will incur fines if you do not return Curtin Library items by their due date, or if you do not comply with Curtin Library rules. If you do not pay the fines you may be blocked from borrowing at Curtin Library and your own university’s library. Please see renewing an item for renewal information.

Where an item is not returned, Curtin Library will bill your home library for the replacement cost of the item plus an administration cost. Once this has happened you will be required to reimburse to your own library any amounts paid on your behalf.
