Referencing styles for academic publishing

If you are submitting an article to a journal, you will usually find details of the referencing style on the journal's website.

For example, the Oxford University Press journals each have a page of Information for Authors. The publishers Taylor and Francis have Instructions for Authors for each of its titles and Elsevier offer an Author's Gateway with a Guide for Authors for each journal title.

Remember too, that EndNote software contains many styles for individual journal titles which will allow you to easily produce a paper in the required format, and more styles can be found on the EndNote website.

Study Facilities

In the Robertson Library the Postgraduate (CUPSA - Curtin University Postgraduate Students' Association) room (Room 412) is located on Level 4. Facilities in this room include comfortable seating, 2 computers, a whiteboard and a photocopier. More details about study facilities in the Robertson Library.

Word and Long Documents

If you are writing a thesis we recommend that you learn how to use the Master Document function in Word. In addition to the online Help in Word there are many useful sites on the web that explain how to create Long Documents in Word.

One recommended site that explains how to use EndNote with Master Documents is from Southern Cross University : Using EndNote with Master Documents.
