Why do I need an ID and password?

You need a Curtin ID and password to use the following Library facilities:

Accessing Your Borrower Information in the Curtin Library Catalogue:
- checking how many items you have out on loan and their due dates
- renewing items you have out on loan
- checking the progress of items you have recalled or requested
- checking to see if you have outstanding Library fines
- viewing your loan history information
Accessing E-Reserve, E-Books and E-Journals
Accessing past exam papers
Placing a request for an item in the Curtin Library Catalogue
Recalling an item in the Curtin Library Catalogue
Accessing scholarly electronic databases

What is my Curtin ID and password?

Curtin Students	Use your student number and Oasis password.
Curtin Staff	Use your staff number and your Novell password.
All other clients	Use your Library barcode and Library password.

What do I do if my password doesn't work or if I have forgotten it?

Curtin Students	Reset your password via the Forgot your password link. Contact Oasis via the Contact us on the Oasis website.
Curtin Staff	Reset your password via the Forgot your password link. Contact your local ICT support for further assistance.
All other clients	Please contact us for further assistance.

How do I change my password?

Curtin Students	Change your password via Oasis.
Curtin Staff	Change your password via Oasis.
All other clients	Login to Your Borrower information in the Curtin Library Catalogue.

What do I do if I don't have a card?

Some students who are studying off-campus or online have a student number, but not a student card. Check your student enrolment advice for your student number and use your Oasis password. Contact Oasis for help with your password.

Do borrowers from other universities and community borrowers have a password?

Reciprocal and community borrowers should use the barcode number on their Library ID card and their Library password to access Borrower Information in the Curtin Library Catalogue, to recall or request items in the catalogue. Additionally, on-site access to a range of databases is available from the A-Z database listing.
