What is EndNote?

The main functions of EndNote software are:

Database manager - stores, manages and searches for your references.
The information is only entered once and can be imported electronically from a database or entered manually.
Bibliography maker - builds lists of references cited in a paper and at the click of a button will create the bibliography in a number of different styles.
Data importer - enables the importing of references from other databases into an EndNote library.

What version should I use?

EndNote Version X1 is the version recommended for use with PCs and Mac OS Xs and classes for EndNote X1 are held at the Library.

How can I get EndNote on my computer?

Students - log into OASIS then select the "my library" tab and Download EndNote.

Staff - log into OASIS then select the "my library" tab and Download EndNote.

How can I learn how to use EndNote?

The Library offers two levels of EndNote : Getting Started with EndNote and EndNote Extras. They are presented in both demonstration and hands-on formats. See the Library Workshop schedule for details.
