What is EndNote?

The main functions of EndNote software are:

• Database manager - stores, manages and searches for your references.
  The information is only entered once and can be imported electronically from a database or entered manually.
• Bibliography maker - builds lists of references cited in a paper and at the click of a button will create the bibliography in a number of different styles.
• Data importer - enables the importing of references from other databases into an EndNote library.

What version should I use?

EndNote Version X1 is the version recommended for use with PCs and Mac OS Xs and classes for EndNote X1 are held at the Library.

How can I get EndNote on my computer?

Curtin students and staff can download EndNote X1 through the Curtin Startup website.

• The Library offers two levels of EndNote class: Getting Started with EndNote and EndNote Extras. They are presented in both demonstration and hands-on formats. See Library Classes schedule for details.
