Specialised staff can show you how to find books, journal articles and other information you need for your studies. Library Student Assistants and Enquiry Desk staff can help with basic queries or arrange a referral.

The Learning Centre

Programs and resources on study skills are available for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Seminars and workshops include academic writing, paraphrasing, critical thinking, time management, test-taking strategies, basic numeracy skills, algebra, exponents and logarithms, statistics and SPSS. Online programs include Time Management, Thinking Matters, Better Sentences, Better Referencing, Better Tests and Better Maths.

Help yourself to our interactive tutorials and LibGuides. Specific questions about services, facilities and resources can be submitted via LibAnswers.

On the floors

Library Student Assistants (LSAs) can help with basic IT queries, using the Library website, searching the catalogue and finding items on the shelf. During semester, LSAs are available 24/7 in Robertson Library. You can recognise them by their blue ‘Ask Me’ t-shirts. Dial 7166 from a Library HELP phone and a LSA will come to you.

Library tours and workshops

Library tours and workshops are available to explore the Library, hone your research skills or learn about Endnote referencing software. Make a booking online or ask Library staff for more information.

Abacus IT Helpdesk

Working closely with Library Student Assistants, IT Helpdesk staff can assist you with a range of IT queries regarding OASIS, internet access, software, Blackboard and more.
