SMS Reminder Notices for Workshops
Your library has an 'SMS Workshops Reminder Notices' service, where we send you an SMS message reminding you that you have registered for a library workshop the day before the workshop is conducted.
You will also continue to receive an email reminder.
Can I use this service?
If you are a current Curtin student or staff member then you can use this service.
How do I subscribe to this service?
You can subscribe at any time you visit the Library Workshops schedule page. Follow a link to check details of workshops you have registered for, to check your contact information, or to a register for a workshop. You will then be taken to a screen displaying your contact details. Enter your mobile phone number in the text box labeled "Mobile", then check the "Send SMS Reminders" box. Click on the "Update User Details" button. That is all you need to do.
How do I unsubscribe?
You can unsubscribe at any time you visit the Library Workshops schedule page. Follow a link to check details of workshops you have registered for, to check your contact information, or to a register for a workshop. You will then be taken to a screen displaying your contact details. Remove the check from the "Send SMS Reminders" box by clicking in the box. Click on the "Update User Details" button. That is all you need to do.
What should I do if I change my mobile phone number?
If you change your mobile phone number you can update it next time you go the Library Workshops schedule page. There are links to "Check your contact information" on this page. Click on this link, amend your mobile number, then click on the "Update User Details" button. The next SMS Workshops Reminder Notice will then be sent to your updated number.
When will I receive SMS Workshops Reminder Notices?
You will receive the SMS notice at about 9.30am the day before the workshop is conducted. If you realise you cannot attend the workshop we would prefer that you cancel your registration so others may register and attend the workshop.
How much does this service cost me?
Nothing! The service is free.
