Adding items to Reserve/e-Reserve

Submitting a request

To request the addition, removal or change to items for e-Reserve log on to the web form at
http://apps.library.curtin.edu.au/ressubmission/index.pl.

Alternatively, you can email your reading list to reserve@curtin.edu.au.

Please provide:

  • Details of the Curtin units for which the item is needed, e.g. Introduction to Psychology 100, Unit # 313392 AND
  • A citation for the item, e.g. article author/s (year) article title, editor/s, book/journal title, volume/issue/chapter/page numbers OR
  • A web address for the item if it is on the Internet.

e-Reserve staff will source the best available copy.

Copyright

Because most copyright limits operate at the University level, not the unit level, Curtin policy prohibits copyright material on Blackboard - it must be communicated through e-Reserve and can then be linked to from Blackboard. Further information on copyright at Curtin can be found at: http://copyright.curtin.edu.au/index.cfm

Once library staff have verified the copyright status of the items you have requested they will:

  • Automatically upload items that do not require copyright permission OR
  • Request copyright permission where necessary OR
  • Advise you of your options if a copyright issue exists.

Blackboard linking

You will be emailed when your items have been added to e-Reserve with instructions on how to link to them from Blackboard.

To find out more about linking items from e-Reserve to Blackboard, see the Teaching Support LibGuide.
