Library Collection

The Library appreciates the benefits of donations in enriching our collections to support the research and teaching of the university.

Donations will be accepted for inclusion in the collections on the basis of relevance to the University's teaching and research programs and in accordance with the Library's' criteria for selection. Donations will be incorporated into the Library's main collection.

The Library reserves the right to decline and dispose of donations.

If you wish to make a donation to the Library collection, please contact Research and Learning Services on 9266 4912, or email us before delivering items to the library building.

John Curtin Prime Ministerial Library Collection

The John Curtin Prime Ministerial Library (JCPML) is still building its collection of materials and memorabilia connected with John Curtin. Refer to the JCPML Program Statement for more details.

If you think you know where old letters, newspapers, scrapbooks or photographs that have a link with John Curtin may be stored, please contact us. We would also welcome contact from anyone who wishes to share a first-hand experience of meeting or seeing John Curtin.

If you own such memorabilia, you may wish to donate it to the JCPML where it will be placed in secure and environmentally suitable storage to ensure its preservation for future generations. If you wish to retain your original material, we would appreciate the opportunity to make a copy to add to the collection.

Cultural Gifts Program

The Library and the John Curtin Prime Ministerial library are eligible institutions to participate in the Cultural Gifts Program (CGP) of the Department of Communications and the Arts. The Library is able to provide advice on obtaining valuations within the guidelines of the CGP.
