You’re welcome to work on your own or in small groups.
All the rooms have power points and wireless coverage for laptops and mobile devices. Some have writable walls or whiteboards. Group study rooms on level four are equipped with large monitors.
Bookings can be made up to two weeks in advance through the Library’s bookings page.
Group study rooms are marked on our floor plans or pick one up in the Library.
For those who like to study in silence there are designated silent areas on levels four, five and six where no talking is allowed. On levels five and six there is also a Silent Computer Room where you can use a Library computer or your laptop but no talking is permitted.
All other study areas in the Library are quiet areas where noise must be kept to a minimum. Talking is allowed but it must not disturb others. Clients may considerately consume food that is not noisy, odorous, messy or otherwise disruptive in these areas. Our aim is to provide a non-disruptive environment conducive to study.
Silent and quiet areas are marked on floor plans that are available online or pick up a copy in the Library.
Rooms 651 to 661 on level six must be booked. Please see Library room bookings for available dates and times. All the rooms have power points and wireless coverage.
We recently replaced some of our older carrels with larger ones and we have also provided some new chairs. There is wireless coverage on all floors of the Library for you to connect your laptop and mobile devices to.
The room provides ergonomic seating at 12 work stations with power and computers, and a further 12 study carrels with power only.
The room has 10 PCs and 2 iMacs.
This room is a Silent Zone for individual study only. There is no talking and no food allowed. Covered drinks are permissible.
Access to the room is by swipe card only. If you are a postgraduate student, a VC’s List student or a member of sessional staff looking for a silent space to study in the Library, simply use your Curtin ID card to access the room.

A photocopier is located at the entrance to the room.
You need to use your swipe card to access this room. Access is restricted to registered students who have been referred by the Disability counsellor.

The Lounge is the ideal place to eat, socialise and study all in the one place. There are places for groups and individuals to sit and use, including booths, computers and casual seating.
The Lounge contains three vending machines with one for stationery. If you have any problems with the machines contact the Student Guild.
