Paying for printing and photocopying
For Curtin students and staff your ID card is also your copying and printing account access card, across the university including the library. (Your copying and printing account is also known as your POLAR account.)
For non-Curtin users of the library a payment card may be purchased for $3.20 from self-service “cashiers” in the library.
To copy or print you will need to swipe your card over the reader on the terminal attached to the photocopier or printer you wish to use. The amount payable will be deducted from your account as you photocopy or print.
Adding credit to your account
You can add credit to your POLAR account through self-service “cashiers” and an EFTPOS machine located in the library. Don’t add too much though as no refunds of unspent funds in your POLAR account are available when you leave or defer from the university for more than 12 months.
Credit may also be added to your POLAR account using self-service “cashiers” located elsewhere in the university, e.g. in the ABACUS labs.
No change is available from the "cashiers" in the library.
