What software is on the library computers
Curtin students and staff can use any of the computers in the library (other than those labeled “Catalogue only”) to access the internet, email, OASIS or Blackboard.
If you are a Curtin student, you can also use any library computer to access your student I: drive from "My Computer".
Curtin students and staff can also use the following site-licensed software on library computers:
- Adobe Creative Suite (for graphic design and web development)
- EndNote (for publishing and managing bibliographies)
- Maple (for mathematics modelling simulation)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Project, Visio)
- Nvivo (Qualitative research statistical analysis)
- SPSS (Statistical analysis and linguistic processing).
Registered students and staff from UWA, ECU and Murdoch University can use the Curtin Library computers to use software such as Word and Excel and to access your home university's website and databases. However access to other external sites such as Google or Hotmail is unavailable due to Curtin Web Access Management restrictions. To use a Curtin Library computer, select your home institution from the drop down menu in the login screen and login using your usual ID and password.
