Off-campus students
The library provides off-campus services to Curtin students who are unable to get to Robertson, Curtin Graduate School of Business, Kalgoorlie or Muresk libraries in person.
Are you eligible?
Eligibility is determined by postcode, so to be recognised as an off-campus student, please ensure the library has your correct address. You may also be eligible for off-campus services if you live in the metropolitan area but have difficulty accessing the library because of a disability. Please contact us if this applies to you.
e-Reserve
To help you get items that lecturers have listed as required reading for courses, wherever possible the library places full-text electronic copies of them in e-Reserve. Students can access their reserve material via OASIS. Once logged in your unit information (found under the "My Studies" tab) lists each enrolled unit with a library link to "Reserve items". This will take you straight to all of the material lodged for that unit. In addition, many books and journal articles are available electronically and may be accessed via the library catalogue and databases. For help finding relevant resources see the library guides.
If the article or book chapter you require is not available in e-Reserve, eligible students may request a photocopy of a journal article or book chapter. If you cannot log onto the off-campus request form contact the Document Delivery/Off-campus Supervisor.
Postal service
Within Australia, borrowed books and audio-visual items may be sent to eligible students via courier. The student is responsible for paying the return postage. We will be adding the phone number of the addressee to the address label to assist the efficiency of the delivery service. If you do not wish to have your phone details included, please contact us on the details below.
Search the library catalogue, request the item you require and select “Home delivery” as your “pick-up location”. Non-Bentley Research Centre staff should select "Send to office" as your pick-up location. Please note that resources are not sent overseas or to OUA students.
Delivery notices
Curtin students will receive an Availability Notice (pick up location 'Sent to Home') via the Official Communications Channel (OCC) in OASIS, when the request is being processed for posting. Delivery may take up to 10 working days, depending on your location. Please check OASIS at least once a week.
Curtin staff will receive Availability Notices via their Curtin staff email. Delivery may take up to 10 working days, depending on your location. Please ensure you check your email regularly.
Library Notices
All library notices are sent via OCC for students and email for staff. Please ensure that your access them on a regular basis.
