John Curtin Prime Ministerial Library

The JCPML is Australia's first prime ministerial library. It aims to recognise wartime prime minister and international statesman John Curtin (1885-1945) by facilitating research and by providing educational and public outreach programs which engage the Curtin and wider community.
The JCPML’s collection focuses on aspects of Australia’s history and politics connected with the life and times of John Curtin. It contains personal papers, oral histories, photographs, newsreel footage, copies of official records and other archival material. The JCPML also manages research collections from Hazel Hawke, John Dawkins, Alex McCallum and Tom Fitzgerald. Much of the JCPML collection has been digitised and is accessible via its Electronic Research Archive. An appointment is necessary to access the JCPML collection.
